Flooring Upgrades That Don’t Break the Bank

This is a collaborative post.

There is nothing quite as satisfying as knowing that the upgrades you are making on your home have a positive impact. When you have the money and you can make reservations in your home that makes sense, you should take the opportunity. Our homes are a huge investment, and we spend a lot of money buying them and renovating them to make them look great. They can become economically burdensome, however, especially when there are large home improvement products going on.

From laying down brand new carpet tiles to replacing the roof when winter is coming, there are many renovations that you can make that have an instant effect. And speaking of carpet tiles, in this article we’re going to talk about the benefits of upgrading your flooring without having to break the bank.

There are so many different things that you could be using for your flooring that are never going to take too much cash in the same way that a marble floor might, for example. Let’s dive into some of the new options for the flooring in your home that are not only going to save you money, but they are going to upgrade it in an instant.

1# Stained concrete

Concrete isn’t just something for inside the garage – it can be an excellent way to have a low maintenance option for your home. You can use a variety of colours and texture effects, as well as finishes that can make your flooring more durable and last longer.

It could even improve the UV resistance of your flooring because stained concrete is the correct option for it. Concrete can mimic the more traditional designs, or create a sleek silhouette of modern decor. This is not a cheap floor to look at, but it’s a cheap floor for your bank account.

2# Trusty carpet

Carpet is always a good option for a house because, not only does it keep the rooms warm and the heat in, but carpet tiles also don’t have to break your bank. There are so many styles and weaves, patterns and colours as options when it comes to carpet, and you could walk into a nice carpet shop and buy tiles today.

3# Vinyl

Vinyl tiles or planks are a very budget friendly option if you want to upgrade your kitchen, bathroom or even your hallway floors. They offer value, they are durable and they’re easy to maintain. The best part is that they can come in any pattern or colour, so you could have wood-effect vinyl that makes it look like you have original hardwood floors.

4# Embrace laminate

Another flooring option that has come a long way in recent years is laminate, because it can give you a wooden floor look without the wooden floor prices. Today’s high definition laminate options can look fantastic when they have been laid properly.

5# Tiles

Bathroom tiles – when you buy them in the right place – do not have to be expensive. If you have tiles in your bathroom or your kitchen, you’re going to find them in affordable and low maintenance options for your upgrade.
