These days, I watch as much content on YouTube as I do on mainstream TV. A few years ago, it wasn’t even in my consciousness! However, I have found a lot of good frugal YouTubers who create regular, interesting and useful content, so I am sharing. Here are five frugal YouTubers to follow for frugal inspiration. The content isn’t all as glossily produced as a BBC drama, but it is all very interesting and entertaining. It seems that many ordinary people have the chance to inspire in quite an extraordinary way on this platform. I hope you enjoy them. Please feel free to leave your recommendations in the comments below.
Watching so much YouTube content inspired me to create my own channel, using some of the material from my blog. I am now a frugal YouTuber myself, and I am really enjoying it! You can check out some of my videos here.
Five Frugal YouTubers to Follow
Frugal Queen in France

Some of you may remember Jane’s hugely successful Frugal Queen blog several years ago now. So a lot of us were disappointed when she disappeared. But now she is back, living thriftily with her husband Mike in rural Brittany in France.
Frugal Queen is still about making every penny stretch to the max (or should that be every Euro now?). You can find her upcycling and doing up their cottage, budgeting, cooking healthy but frugal food, finding bargains and staying debt free.
Check out Jane’s channel here.
What Vivi Did Next

I love sitting down with a cup of tea to listen to Vivi’s chats. She is quite remarkable, living on a mere £400 a month and feeding herself almost exclusively from her allotment.
Vivi shows you her ‘garden’, as she calls it, at different times of the year, what she is growing and harvesting and what is happening in her life. Add a bit of sewing, cooking, DIY and a green philosophy, and you have a very interesting take on what it means to live a frugal lifestyle.
She is evolving, however. Due to ill health, she is growing less of her food and making more money in other ways.
Vivi has such a likeable manner and is well worth a watch. Check What Vivi Did Next here.
Frugal Fit Mom

The only US frugal YouTuber in my list, Frugal Fit Mom Christine, describes herself as ‘a super mom who loves all things finance, food, fitness and fun. She focuses a lot on food, with the kind of content that regularly goes viral. Check out her ‘126 meals for $30’ post as a prime example.
Christine is super energetic, creative and excellent at feeding her family of six on a small amount of money. She has a lot of followers with good reason.
Tess – Frugal Living
Tess and her family have paid off their mortgage by living thriftily. On her channel, she shares how she budgets and does her meal-planning, some low-cost grocery hauls, growing her food, financial investment for the future, crafting and dumpster diving.
Tess is down-to-earth, friendly and practical. Watching her videos feels like sitting down for a chat with a friend. So, grab a cuppa and join her here!
Amelia’s Frugal Life
Amelia is a relative newcomer, but her channel is growing fast. She is a young twenty-something mum, into frugality, home schooling, the environment and gardening.
Amelia has some inspiring videos, such as the one above, where she managed to produce 80 meals for £20. She and her husband Joel have a goal to pay off their mortgage before they are 40, and I think they will achieve it. She certainly has her head screwed on.

Do you know what happened to Frugal Jo’s channel? It looks like it’s been taken down.

Yes, it has. She did a goodbye video a few weeks ago as she is now to busy with work and got fed up with the trolls too I think. It’s such a shame! I must update this post now

Oh dear, that’s very sad, she was one of my favourite people to watch. I also now find i watch as much, if not more YouTube than anything else. Your channel is another of my favourites, as are the others in your list! Apart from Frugal Fit Mom, who I’ve not yet watched – I’ll have to give her channel a go! Thanks as always for the great content 🙂
