Dedicated to making the healthiest choices for you and your body? Put in the legwork, done the research, and know your stuff? You might be able to get more from it than a healthier body and mind, you might be able to achieve a healthier budget, as well. The health and wellness industry is growing like crazy with still plenty of room to find your share of it. Here are a few ways you can capitalise on the growing health consciousness of today’s society.

Share your tips and advice

When it comes to finding new workouts, digging into new health crazes, and seeking advice in general, the internet is one of the first places that many will go. Starting your own fitness blog is easier than ever, with blogging platforms being incredibly accessible.

Making money from it can take time. You have to build both the reputation and the audience to make it profitable. You might monetise it through linking it with advertising platforms, using it to sell customised health plans, working with affiliate marketers, or simply using it as a promotional tool for another health service. But you have to be willing to put the time and effort in.

See what works and what doesn’t

Many health and fitness bloggers fall into this category, but this is also a career you can work on at larger publishers or in behalf of other websites as a freelancer. If you’ve paid attention to the health and fitness world long enough, you’ve surely seen that there are always new fads and new truly revolutionary products coming into the market.

From tech to apps, supplements to diets, gear to clothing, many consumers could use an expert’s touch in seeing what works and what’s driven by pseudo-science. If you’re of the savvier sort and you know what you’re talking about, reviewing health products and services can be a rewarding career than can help build the credibility behind your other work, too.

Guide them on a fitness journey

It takes more work than simply knowing your stuff but becoming a personal trainer can be truly rewarding. The average online personal training salary can vary a lot, depending on your experience, expertise, and how well you run your business as a freelancer, but it’s easily one of the most lucrative paths in the health and fitness world.

You can help individual clients, creating personalised workout and nutrition plans for them, create a community where they can track progress and share tips, or even work as a freelancer in part of a larger personal training team. You’ll likely see the most in return by starting up your own business but working for someone else can help you earn the credibility and experience you need for a successful launch.

Teach a class

You don’t necessarily need to become a personal trainer to have a direct role in helping others improve their health. Teaching fitness and sports classes may not require formal training, depending on the class that you want to teach. It’s a good move for those who have a passion for a specific kind of activity, such as if you want to become a yoga instructor or you want to give tennis lessons for the sake of both fitness and competition.

Of course, to teach a class, you need to have some experience under your belt. In sports, especially, having a few achievements under your belt can certainly help.

Selling your own health foods

If you want to see people eating better and enjoy a cut of the profits, then you can get involved directly by selling your own health foods. From starting your own whole foods stall to creating new organic products from the marketing, from buying and selling tried and tested supplements to running a health food restaurant, there are lots of ways to get into this business.

There’s a growing market for health foods, especially if you’re able to capitalise on a trending diet or craze, but if you do you should be aware that crazes do tend to die out. Being flexible and adaptable is just as important as being innovative in the health foods world.

There are more people in need of a little direction and willing to pay for it. Whether or not the above ideas appeal to you, there is room for those with the expertise and the desire to find a career in the world of health and fitness. Hopefully, you’ve at least got a little inspiration from this post.

This is a collaborative post.
