I have been blogging less and less recently. I think it’s because I feel like each blog post has to be a major event! I thought I would go back to doing some shorter, general chatty posts as I used to. So here is my Sunday blog.
I hadn’t exactly planned to go to the boot sale this morning. However, I slept really badly and found myself wide awake at 5 am, so thought I would sneak off and leave Mr S and Archie asleep.

It turns out it’s impossible to move quietly enough not to draw a puppy’s interest, so he trotted around after me whilst I was getting ready, chasing the cats and generally causing chaos.
I left him bouncing on Mr S, who had a cup of tea in bed as his consolation for being woken up so early, and set off.
Even though I was pretty early, there was still a queue of cars to get in! I took a coffee with me, so sipped that whilst I waited.
I paid my 50p on the gate, and I was away! It was so much easier without the dog this time.

The organisers had set up wide aisles and a one way system. It’s a shame certain people just can’t follow simple instructions! I saw the same folk over and over going against it, all the way round. I shouldn’t let these things irritate me, but confess this did.

I spent about £30 and filled my granny trolley and a bag for life in no time. Along with the usual clothes, I found these interesting Jack Daniels belt buckles, which seem to be going for a bit on eBay.

I also found these ugly gold UGG wellies. Someone is asking £40 for the same pair. Not sure if that is a bit optimistic, though!
Update on the vandal

A certain furry fiend ate my sandals last night. I thought he was busy chewing a marrow bone we bought him, then suddenly realised one of the sandals wasn’t by my feet. Normally we put all footwear out of his reach! He is a little sod! Good job he is also very cute and lovable, and also that they were only a cheap pair.
I won’t be giving him another marrow bone in a hurry though. Something gave him a tummy upset today. It could have been the sandals, I guess but don’t think he actually ate those.
Tackling the monster ironing pile
I spent a lot of today lying around recovering from my lack of sleep. Sometimes I can nap but today I just couldn’t!
I decided to clean the kitchen instead and tackle my enormous ironing pile. Some people I know say they love ironing, but I’m not one of them! I will put it off until I almost run out of clothing.

Most of the pile consists of things I plan to sell on eBay, but there were items of mine that had been lurking at the bottom for so long I forgot they existed.
Healthy eating
I am still eating low carb, although I have pretty much decided that it’s too hard to take in so few carbs you go into ketosis when you have a garden full of fruit and veg that need eating! So I am not worrying about that, but still not eating sugar, wheat or potatoes – most of the time, anyway.
It is still low carb, which does seem to suit me. However, I was so tired tonight, the healthy eating went to pot and I had chips with the salmon I had defrosted! I’m not beating myself up about it. Sometimes life gets in the way and I will be back to low carb tomorrow.
I plan to have an early night tonight to get me ready for a brand new week. Let’s hope I sleep better and don’t wake up quite so early. I hope you enjoy my Sunday blog.
Let me know how your day has been in the comments below. Have a great week!

I too have a huge ironing pile, I shall need crampons to start tackling it. Many years ago I didn’t clear it for so long that my then husband accused me of having an affair as at the bottom was a shirt that I had bought him for christmas, this was now June ! he had forgotten all about it !

Jane, when you were little at home, we never got to the bottom of the ironing pile. Now I iron about twice a month for about 1 hour. I am very unvironmental and put all washed stuff in the tumble dryer. Then most of it just needs smoothing over and putting straight away except dad’s shirts.

I well remember that shoe eating phase of puppies. Then they go all cute and it’s hard to get angry. They bring so much love into our life, though.

I know exactly wha you mean about thinking that each blog needing to be a major event. I’m exactly the same. However, people still read when it’s just ‘a bit of a chat’ type post. I like reading posts like that too, so proof that it is ok to blog about nothing in particular!
Your pup is so gorgeous, I just want to cuddle him.
