Kiss and Makeup

DD3 is going out for her birthday and will no doubt spend quite some time putting on her makeup and making herself look gorgeous. All of my daughters are obsessed with makeup; they have drawers and cases full of the stuff and would no doubt spend even more money on it if they could afford it. They are all beautiful anyway, but then I would say that!

They don’t take after me when it comes to buying makeup. This is my makeup bag!

imagePretty basic, but I am a low maintenance kind of girl. I don’t have the time, money or inclination to buy lots of products!

Mr Shoestring’s niece even has a blog about makeup and has 14,000 Instagram followers. It is a good blog and she is a fabulous looking girl. If you want to check it out go to ccclarkebeauty.wordpress.com or ccclarkebeauty on Instagram.

I went to see Mr S’s family for lunch today. My contribution was an apple and almond pudding. It is a Delia Smith recipe and is delicious. It also happens to be gluten free!

If you want to give it a try you will find the recipe here:

Hope you are all having a good weekend 🙂

  1. I’m the same when it comes to make up. Tend to just use foundation and blusher most days and add a bit of mascara now and again. It’s definitely saved me money! I have a huge collection of nail polish though, but that’s just accumulated over the years

  2. Your make up bag is full compared to mine! All mine has contained for the past 20+ years is one mascara and one jar of nail varnish! 😀
The mascara is used daily but the nail varnish is only used on my toes during the summer month!! 😀
