It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!

imageIf you go to Aldi try some truffles! These cost only £1.99 yet taste richly luxuriant and delicious and expensive :-). They were meant to be for Christmas but we broke into them last night. Hey ho! At that price I will get some more.

They also do some very decent Prosecco and Cava. I will get some next week.

I finally started to write my cards last night. My friends overseas will get them in the New Year I reckon! This week I will start wrapping the presents. I have them all apart from DD1’s who keeps changing her mind about what she wants. She had better hurry up as we are running out of time!

I know it will all be over in the blink of an eye, but I am rather enjoying the preparations this year. I’m not enjoying the traffic however. Getting home is slowwwww. It will be fine once the kids break up from school.

A parcel arrived today containing a couple of promising little gluten free cookbooks. I have only browsed one but will report back when I have had a proper look through. There is a lovely sounding pastry recipe so I can’t wait to give that a go!

  1. Waaaaa! Despite being surrounded by shops here in London, all I have to chose from is a big Sainsburys (but still not a full -sized one!), a small Sainsburys, 2 Icelands, a tiny useless Asda & Sainsburys Local, and a Tesco Express attached to a petrol station!
I want Lidl and Aldi!! I keep hearing so much about what they have to offer! I want those truflfes!!
