I have to admit that this is not in the least bit authentically oriental. I chopped up various bits of veg from the fridge – spring onions which I got reduced in Asda last night for 10p; half a white cabbage, reduced to 50p, carrots, mushrooms and celery. I am hoping that by the time I get home from work, my daughter will have stir fried this lot with a sweet chilli and garlic sauce from Aldi (their sauces are very good), half a can of chick peas, and a large splash of soy sauce. I also picked up some ready cooked rice noodles reduced to 85p whilst in Asda, so they will also go in the wok.
I am not a purist and too busy to always cook from scratch, so this is my healthy and cheap version of fast food after a busy day.
